Memories

Peter Stallybrass gives evidence of this in "Worn Worlds: Clothes, Mourning, and the Life of Things." His personal account inspired me to reconnect with the belongings that my sister left, and through them with her. These are not simply belongings that she aquired over time, they are tangible evidence of her at work as a craftsperson. I sense her in the sculptural objects that she crafted, and greatly in the poems that she wrote. The clothes, however, hold something much more powerful; she inhabited these and I associate them with us together in time and space. Read more in An Enduring Legacy.
